Angelina Marques has been a dedicated advocate for immigrant, women, and worker’s rights. She has worked closely with immigrant communities since high school and has spent years working with students with limited English proficiency. While a student at Seattle University School of Law, she interned at the Alaska Immigration Justice Project, provided legal representation through her school’s Immigration Law Clinic, and advocated for farm worker rights in central Washington. She also interned at King County Superior Court, and with the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services.
After law school, Angelina enjoyed volunteering with Northwest Immigrant Rights Project and our organization. Prior to joining our team as a Housing Justice Project Staff Attorney, Angelina worked as an immigration attorney reuniting families and representing clients in immigration court.
In her new role here at SCLS, Angelina is excited for the opportunity to provide legal representation to low-income individuals facing evictions and other landlord/tenant issues, as well as to help expand access to knowledge and understanding of the laws that affect our clients.
